Quick Intro to Prospecting With Pitchbox
Every campaign type in Pitchbox finds sites a different way, and picking the wrong one costs you a search. This is the map: which types run live keyword searches, which pull from tools you already pay for, and which look inward at sites you have found before. Worth five minutes before you build your first campaign.
Let's explore prospecting with Pitchbox. Now, if you're new to the journey, prospecting simply means that we're going to find a list of sites with their contacts. And this can be done through a keyword search using search operators or even your competitor's own website. But these sites are going to form the foundation of your outreach. So let's take a look at how that journey starts within the system. Now our first step is to create a new campaign, and this is going to take you to our campaign menu. What you'll see here is there are a wide variety of campaign types to choose from, and they'll ultimately depend on the type of strategy that you're looking to run.
But in general, when we are finding sites through the system, everything is done in real time. So we're running a real search by crawling the web, and we're not working from a static database. So this is designed to help you find the most relevant and the most up-to-date content. But of course, each campaign is going to bring you to a slightly different site, and a setup will slightly change. Everything from blogger outreach through to hot off the press is all keyword driven searches. So you'll enter some keywords and we'll use that to find relevant content.
We have some that are more specific, such as advanced operator, which uses search operators to find highly specific results from the SERPs. We also have CSV, which allows you to import your own data. And beyond that, we even have CRM and Cherry Pick. These campaigns are not going to be looking externally for sites, but instead it's looking through the sites that you've already found. Either ones that you've upgraded to be a special partner, or just ones that are in your general database. We also have a wide variety of integration campaigns, and these are campaigns that are fueled through your tool of choice. If you want to try any of these out, just simply link your specific tool, whether that's Ahrefs, Semrush, Majestic, or Moz, and begin building campaigns today.
