Intro to AI Template Assistant: Write Better Link Building Emails
Ask ChatGPT for a guest post pitch and you get "I hope this message finds you well", because it learned from the same public web that taught everyone else. Pitchbox trained its model on tens of millions of real outreach emails and what they actually returned. This shows the difference, and how to steer tone and humor.
Today, we're excited to introduce the Pitchbox AI Template Assistant to help you craft better outreach emails. Now, you might ask, why do I need yet another AI tool when I can just use ChatGPT? Now, the problem with ChatGPT and Anthropic or other large language models is that they were trained using public data sets, public data from the web that includes a wide range of opinions, and unfortunately, a massive amount of really bad SEO advice. For example, if you ask ChatGPT to write you a guest post pitch, it produces a very typical cold outreach email that looks something like this.
I hope this message finds you well. I've been following your blog, etc., etc. So, this might have still worked five or ten years ago, but today most people just ignore these generic link-building emails. So, what makes Pitchbox AI different from just using ChatGPT or other AI tools is that Pitchbox AI is powered by a custom-tuned pre-trained AI model that leverages our data set of tens of millions of outreach emails along with the actual results that these emails produced. Many of you might have seen the big data study we did with Brian Dean of Backlinko a couple years ago.
We run these big data studies to understand what actually works when it comes to link-building every year. So, this year our team used the data from the latest study to train our own AI models to write better, more engaging outreach emails. All right, enough about the tech. Let's just jump in and see how this works. Okay, so I'm in a cold-plunge Wim Hof campaign. And instead of using the editor from scratch, I will use the AI template assistant guest post based on topic option. Again, the topic of our campaign is whatever cold exposure, cold plunging, etc.
There are a number of additional things you can configure here real quick. So, you can include the article outline. We're going to write in the voice of Jon Stewart just to get some humor in there. We're going to add a joke about, I don't know, taking a plunge. We're going to make it a pun. And include some emojis in the subject line. And just click on generate. Okay, we have a draft back. So, first of all, the subject. It's a call to action. Take the plunge, understanding cold exposure for better focus, mood and health. Could be used as a title for the actual guest post.
I like that it starts with a question. Then goes for the pitch. I like that it suggests the use of scientific studies. So, we're going to cite scientific studies, expert perspectives and personal anecdotes. And wraps it up with a pun. And that's it. So, it's a nice little draft you can use to create your pitch. Of course, you can clean it up. You can add a few things. You can make it your own. But overall, the main idea here is that it gives you a quick start and a way to save a ton of time on ideation, on writing a lot more engaging email templates that will ultimately drive more links and make you more money. So, we hope you all love it. Thanks for watching. And we'll see you in the next video.
