Chase-Up: Re-engage Effectively
The guest post you submitted four days ago is the one you'll forget to follow up on, and that's usually the deal you lose. Chasebox reminds you automatically when someone goes quiet or a milestone stops moving: no tasks to create, no calendar entries, and it knows not to count weekends against you.
Hi, this is Alex. In this video, I'll show you all the features of Chasebox and share some best practices. First, what's Chasebox? Chasebox is a smart notification system that helps you stay on top of your hot leads and new relationships. Here's an example. Let's say you're running a guest post campaign and if someone's interested in publishing your article. After you've submitted your article and three to four days have passed, you may want to follow up. But you need to remember to do that. Basically, you would have to set up a task or a reminder, but that's too much work if you're a busy link builder.
Let's see how Chasebox can help. So I'm going to create my first Chase-up. To do that, I will choose one of the emails in my inbox and hit reply. I will quickly write my message and select my Chase-up options. I'm going to ask Pitchbox to remind me to follow up if I didn't get a reply from Brian in three days and I'm going to leave the no reply option. There are a couple more options here such as no milestone change or both no reply or milestone change, but no reply is what I want and I'm going to click send. Another way to chase up an opportunity is through a pipeline.
So I'm going to head over to the pipeline and select negotiation. Here I can see a list of opportunities that are specifically in this stage. I'm going to find one that I might potentially want to follow up or chase up. So here I can see that I've sent an email to this opportunity not too long ago, but I don't have a Chase-up on it. So I'm going to select Chase-up, select when I'd like to chase up. So I'll select in three days and here I'm going to select a different option. I'm going to select no reply or milestone change. milestone change means if the opportunity hasn't progressed to the next stage, it will not cancel out the chase-up.
The chase-up will happen or the reminder for chase-up will happen. So once I click save, we'll also see that I have a label here and it actually tells me who added it and what the chase-up is for and for when. Now that we've set up our chase-ups, it's time to look at our Chasebox and take a look at if we have any emails or opportunities that need to be chased up. Clicking on the Chasebox takes us into our Chasebox where we can see all of the opportunities and emails that may need attention. Here I can see that I have one that's actually past due.
I was supposed to follow up two days ago, it's definitely not too late. So here, there are other opportunities here, but they're not ready for me. So I'm not going to bother with them. So my next step would be to click a reply and follow up with the person that I had to chase-up a couple days ago. You can even add additional chase-ups on the email that we're about to send. Now the last thing I want to show you is my profile. The enable chase-up by default option is turned on. These are my defaults that I'll see when I'm replying to an email and have the option to select my chase-ups.
I can select three days instead of four and also select the other option if no reply or milestone change. The last option here is a bit advanced. Don't count weekends gives you a little bit more control. If we're sending an email on a Friday and we have chase-up set to three days, we're potentially going to be chasing them up on Monday and that may be a little too soon if person doesn't work on the weekends. If I select the option of do not count weekends, it's going to start counting those three days starting Monday. So potentially the chase-up is going to show for us on a Wednesday and that just creates a better schedule.
So if you've been dropping a ball in your great opportunities, start using Chasebox today and win more deals. If you have any questions about Chasebox, just let us know at support at pitchbox.com or catch us on chat. Thanks for watching.
