Intro to Hot off the Press
Reaching a writer while they're still thinking about a piece beats reaching them a year later. Hot Off The Press finds content published in the last 24 hours, which tends to mean fewer backlinks, less competition, and a better chance of a reply. Keywords work like blogger outreach, but aimed at what's happening now.
Let's take a look at the Hot Off The Press campaign. Now this one is designed to help you connect with a range of blog posts, articles and content, very similar to the blogger outreach campaign, but with one key exception. This one is designed to look at content that's emerged in the last 24 hours. So it's a really great way for you to tap into the very most recent content. Let's take a look at how to set that up. But what it also means is that content is still either actively being written or monitored, there could be a higher chance of getting a good response rate because it's a very active piece of content, likely to be less competition.
Because that content is so new, it's unlikely that it'll have a high number of backlinks at this stage. Now when it comes to actually setting up the keywords, it's very similar to the blogger outreach where we want long-form, long-tail keywords. But the type of content that you're going to be focusing on is those that may have came up in the last 24 hours, so anything to do with recent events or any key topics that you're primarily focusing on. Here's a few examples. You can see the keywords that I am using are still more long-form, but their focus is on more current events or things that I might be focusing on where I do need that recent update.
