Intro to Link Removal

Spammy links pointing at your site only come down if someone asks, and that means tracking down whoever runs each domain. Import the URLs you want removed by CSV or plain text, let Pitchbox find the contacts behind them, and run the removal requests through the same templates and sequences as any other campaign.

The link removal campaign is designed to help you remove any spammy or unwanted links on a particular page or domain. Now, the way this one works is you'll tell us which links you do not want to point into a site and this campaign helps you find the contacts and organize your outreach so that you can make contact with those sites to have the links removed. Let's look at the setup for this campaign type. So, similar to a CSV import campaign, you will have the option to import a list of links either through a CSV file, which is more useful if you have a lot of detail such as first name, last name, email addresses, extra information beyond just the domain or the URL.

It can help you bring it in in one simple upload but if you just have a list of links that you would like to provide us, you can also add it through the plain text pathway. You just enter each of your URLs one after the other within this box. Now, whatever option you choose to go for, we can help you find the email IDs for those websites so it makes it much easier to make contact with those webmasters. Simply ensure that you have the find contact toggle to on and then import your spreadsheet after which just select next. This is going to bring those websites into the system with the contacts and you can set up a template asking for those links to be removed from a particular website.
