Integration Campaigns: Intro to URL Backlinks
One page ranking above you has a list of everyone who found it worth linking to. Point this campaign at that URL and it extracts the backlinks behind it, ready for outreach. Narrower than pulling a competitor's whole domain, and far more targeted when you're trying to beat one specific piece of content.
The URL Backlink Campaign, available under your integration campaign suite, is here to help you extract backlinks from a specific URL. Now you can choose a range of different tools as your data source, from Ahrefs, Semrush, Majestic and even Moz. Now the first step is to select which tool you would like to use as your data source. Please note that in order to use certain tools you will need to have an account with this system outside of Pitchbox. If you have an account and you've not yet connected it simply head over to System Settings in the top right hand corner and then select Integrations from the menu.
From here you're going to locate a tool that you wish to use whether that's Ahrefs, Semrush, Majestic or Moz and against the tool we're going to select Connect. You'll enter in your details and then turn on Display Metrics and finally select Connect to link the system with Pitchbox. Once you've linked your tool that campaign type will then become unlocked from the campaign menu. Simply select the cards to start extracting backlinks. For this campaign we want to enter a specific URL or a range of URLs where you would like the system to go through and extract the backlink profile.
Once you've done that we're going to set a cap on how many backlinks will be returned. From here we want to then adjust our metrics under the quality filter. Now some sites could have a wide range of backlinks ranging in quality and to help save you time we recommend adjusting your quality ranges as you create the campaign. So that means that even if a site has a wide range of backlinks it will only allow the sites that meet your criteria into the system. Once you're happy with your metrics just select Next and those backlinks from that URL will be entered into your workflow ready to begin outreach.
