Integration Campaigns: Intro to Competitor Backlinks
Every site linking to your competitor has already proven it links to companies like yours. This pulls their entire backlink profile out of Ahrefs, Semrush, Majestic, or Moz and drops it straight into an outreach workflow, with a quality filter so you're not inheriting the junk half of their profile.
The Competitor Backlink Campaign is here to help you get your competitor's backlink profile directly into your Pitchbox account. Now, you can use a variety of tools to get this data from Ahrefs, Semrush, Majestic and even Moz. To get started, we want to ensure that we have an account with our tool of choice and we want to link it with our Pitchbox account. To start, simply head over to System Settings and then select Integrations from the menu. Depending on the tool that you wish to use, head to its card and then select Connect. It will ask you for the information required in order to link that tool with your Pitchbox account.
Once you've done so, toggle on Display Metrics and then select Connect and you'll now have that system available within the tool. Once connected, when you return back to your campaign creation menu, you will see the Competitor Backlinks campaign for your tool become unlocked. Now, let's take a look at how to set this campaign up. So, what you'll notice in this section is that we are not working with keywords or any CSV import. Instead, you want to enter your competitor's direct website. Either enter a list of domains or a specific URL to identify the backlinks from that particular destination.
Once you've added in all of your links, we're going to tell the system how much we want to return. Now, this is going to set a maximum on how many backlinks we will provide within the system. Once you've set your limit, we want to take a look at our quality filter. Now, depending on your competitor, they may have a wide range of backlinks. We want to make sure that we're only extracting the backlinks that meet our high criteria. We want to adjust our metric ranges to the highest quality required for this particular campaign. Once you've adjusted your metrics, just select Next and your competitor's backlinks will be entered into a campaign workflow ready to begin outreach.
