A bespoke email converts brilliantly and takes all day. A template you copied off a blog costs nothing and gets you flagged for spam, because the whole industry has been sending those same lines for years. The themed template sits between them, and it only works if your prospect list is segmented first. This is the setup for how Bibi actually writes hers.

Right now it's time for the really juicy stuff, the templates that you're going to use for outreach. And I hope that some of my tips will help you break out of the box of whatever template you think that you should be using. So of course, the best way to build links is to have relationships with people where you can just go ahead and ask somebody for a favor or find out what they find valuable and all that great stuff. But with cold outreach, it's not always possible and it will take a lot of time to build up that relationship. So what you have then is a bespoke email.

If you write a unique email for every person that you reach out to, the conversion will be really, really high. This said, every element needs to be specifically targeted to that specific person or business. It's a high conversion rate, but it will take a lot of effort and not everyone has that time or headspace to do it. Another thing you can do is use generic templates. You find a template online and you just copy it and use it for your outreach. This is really low effort, but the conversion is also really low. So you have to send tons and tons of emails.

And because you're overusing the same templates, there's a high spam risk, not just because people might flag you for spam, but also because the system could pick up on things that you're using in your emails that the whole world has been using for years. A good hybrid is a themed template. Now a themed template really depends on a specific email segment. So first you need to make sure that your prospect list is a little bit segmented in terms of topics that they talk about or the type of companies that they are or the type of audience they have. And then you can theme your template accordingly. And I'm going to show you how to do that.
